It's very mellow but reasonably scenic...it's one of the first trails I drove the cj5 on back when it had the long shackles, 31s and dangling cherry bomb side pipes that that clanked against the undercarriage the entire way. We do a lot of skiing just to the south in Butler gulch...same trailhead. Jones Pass is popular with snowmobile crowd whereas butler is non-motorized.

I don't think I want to do a Monday - not knowing how much will be closed / how much commute traffic 25 and 70 would have.
Later this season perhaps.

I was thinking Monday but had the same second thoughts. Later perhaps.
