I just finished bumpers, winch and lift. I'm interested. Never done these, so are there any issues with longer wheelbase vehicles?

I'm probably interested in a Saturday run. Can't take off Thurs/Fri for a weekday run this week.

Saturday for me, too.

Edit: length or width issues. Just watched the trailsoffroad video of Pickle Gulch and at least the entrance looks Jeep-sized ;)

I've run pickle gulch with Chris driving his built up Tacoma a few times. He didn't have any trouble on pickle gulch, but an F150 is bigger than a Tacoma.

I ran Yankee Hill before, I think I banged my rear crossmember but that was it and no real damage

almost all the trails here in CO are Jeep wide :)

Sounds like Saturday is the preferred day. That’s not surprising. I have no issues Jake just doing Yankee if you are concerned about pickle gulch. IMO worst you would see on pickle is some pin striping.

I'm fine either way. Just wanted to ask. Thanks. As alluded to, pin striping is something I'm used to with a non-Jeep :)

Jeeps get pin stripes too. Don't feel like you're alone!

I have a set about 1/4” deep on my passenger side.

Tom...would you be interested to run up pickle, then over to miners gulch and to the top of Yankee that way? Could go all the way down to st Mary's or return to CC via the standard east side of Yankee?

Is miners the one that cuts off just below apex and has a bunch of private signs. Then at a jct it will take one to Kingston if heading right and if left a difficult rocky section for at most 1/4 mile to easier yankee hill trails.

If so I’ve been down it once and banged pretty good. Never tried going up.
I think it might depend on what others think.

Yup...that's it...I've run it both ways...it's the one spot on Yankee that has a bit of challenge and fun. This time of year it'll be wetter and that makes it a bit tougher over the chunky boulder section.

Chris and I did it in reverse a couple years ago ...

I take it you are oot and would not be joining us? What is everyone elses opinion? I will give it a try if others want to try it.

No...I am around this weekend, and am much more interested to do the run if it includes a bit more interesting route up Yankee than the normal.

I’d be game to give it a try. Could bring your winch cable and fairlead.

Don't go the standard way from the RZR unloading zone. It was an absolute zoo yesterday, had to pull over 15 times for side by sides and dirt bikes flying by. Almost took one of my mirrors off.

The calendar meetup lists Pickle Gulch as the starting point. This is north on Peak to Peak a little ways from the area you are referring to.

I'm game for whatever. If I have to peel off and do my own thing, no complaints.

this sounds great and i want to go. one of my rear shocks looks to have leaked some oil... does that mean it's more than likely a goner?

I am no mechanic but I would think it needs replaced. That said probably not a reason to miss a trail run.

I wouldn’t try Miners gulch in a full size, I started up it in my Powerwagon last year and turned back (didn’t have sliders yet). I’ve wanted to go back in my Jeep but haven’t yet …. And since I’m in California I can’t this time either ;(

Cool... I'm in and will sign up. Honestly I think a full size is fine...but I am probably the worst to ask given my little jeep.

A full size can easily get to the harder area and watch others before committing, and if deciding against turn back to apex road or take the y to kingston and back out to rollinsville. Just saying there are options.
