GPS App / Tablet / Mount Recommendations

I'm going to buy a new android tablet specifically for GPS in my Jeep. Any recommendations on GPS Apps and tablets? Any good TJ / LJ mounts? Thanks!

Mount option

Upon a recommendation from someone else, here, that has one, I went with this holder. It mounts using the passenger seat's front left seat-to-body bolt (easy to install). I'm nicely satisfied with it / would consider purchasing again.

Ended up with these, they'll live in my Jeep / backpack so I went for midlevel quality that won't upset me if something happens to them. Considering a second mount for the Xterra but I want to try it in place first, the Xterra center console may not like it. Probably going to go with GAIA premium, looks like it does a lot.
