Adopt-a-Trail Clean-up Run

We need to think about getting out first clean-up run done soon...we usually target this 1st clean up in later July, but I've been very busy traveling out of town a lot and haven't had much time to think about planning it (and uncertain how much I am even around Colo this summer). Its going to get tough to squeeze it in soon as its looking like we have runs developing for a lot of the remaining July weekends. FWIW - we have to do our second yearly clean-up by the end of Sept, so I think its in our best interest to try and get one done sooner rather than later despite the other trail run going in July. I also need to contact Brant at the USFS to see what weekends they are good for - that may limit our options as much as anything.
Be great if some could toss out dates they'd be available to go....thanks!

I can do the weekend of the 24th, I'm out of town this weekend (the 10th) and on-call the weekend of the 17th so that's a no-go. Otherwise I'd love to be part of another cleanup day, the last one was fun.

Update - Brant at USFS is out of contact for a couple weeks, but his automated email reply has a phone number for the OHV field staff. I left a voice mail with them indicating we would like to do the AAT on either 7/17 or 7/24. We'll see what they say or if they even get around to returning my call.

Quick update - the trail crew just got back to me and they would greatly prefer we go on 7/24. Brant will also be back in town before then as well. We may have a bit of additional work to do on DC with some carsonite sign installation besides the normal trash pick-up. I will get the run posted on the calendar. cheers all...

Thanks for organizing James, I've been lurking waiting to see what the date is, selfishly I hope all the parts for my truck come in by then and I will have dropped it off but I will be tentatively waiting and then RSVP when I know more.

Suggestions on dispersed camping in the area that may be available? If I'm gonna make it I need to convince the fam to leave RMNP a day early, so may be nice to camp nearby to be there by 9am.

Devil's Canyon has some really nice dispersed sites and awesome views. I believe the shooting ban is still in effect as is a fire ban.
