Thinking about doing this maybe later this week or next weekend. Powerwagon or new Jeep if I get it back. Anyone interested?

Some related stuff...at least gives a time frame of when it appeared etc, although still no info on how it got to its original position....I was up there with Louis a few years ago, we hiked to the lake but I don't remember seeing the truck. I would guess after some public attention, maybe the USFS got it removed? Seems like it got there illegally, and the group that rolled it down the hill a few years later didn't help the situation...seems like reporting it and helping with the USFS to get it removed would be the right path. Wonder if it was a stolen truck and the criminals decided to take it for a joy ride?

Some people are better off glued to the couch... oi vey.
Anyone interested?
Yes, I'm interested. I'm also trying to knock out Argentine Pass on Friday with Trent and Tom. Who says a weekend spent wheeling is a bad thing? :D

So, my Jeep MIGHT be ready tomorrow...... and if it is, I'll be wheeling Sunday with it. Kingston Peak from Rollinsville to Alice and Yankee Hill back to Central city area in the afternoon. Even if it's not ready, I'll likely be taking the Powerwagon on the same trail Sunday afternoon.
Let me know if you're in Schmitty and anyone else ;)

Very tempting. I'd like to walk over to where the rolled truck is for a look.
I'll be at home as backup should you need assistance.
Would you like the admin to send out a notice e-mail to some of the low-poster new members to see if that can stir the waters?

I would, but I did it earlier in the week with my son.
We took the cutoff and back to Kingston Peak road for a loop. My son’s Tacoma got a lot of pinstripes on FR 772.1A on the way to 772.1. Next time I’d take 175.1 and turn back onto 772.1.

Just got back to Nederland. Was a beautiful day with a few sprinkles here and there but perfect temps. I’ll post a trip report later
