Have an out of town guest who wants to see the mountains. My wife wants to go up Kingston peak to check that box.

Probably will run the route we took when our big crew recently ran this trail, starting near Rollinsville. Here's what we did in July:

Meet: 9:30 AM
Location: South Boulder Creek Interpretive Site, E Portal Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422
https://www.google.com/maps/place/South+Boulder+Creek+Interpretive+Site,+E+Portal+Rd ,+Black+Hawk,+CO+80422/@39.9128799,-105.5488586,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x876bc78297565049:0xd54aad0f75158 36a

Possible we decide to go up Rollins Pass East as an alternative.

I'm a maybe! Would I have any trouble running this in my red jeep? I've done Kingston before but I think this is a different route

No, this is a very easy route up the first half. Mammoth gulch is just a road with a few bumps and rocks. Think Switzerland Trail. The only tough stuff would be near the top, but you should be fine and you know what is up there if you've run the trail before.

Cool, I'm in! Looks like based on the weather this earlier run is the way to go :thumb:
