So, I decided instead of Telluride I’d rather go back to Aspen area and run these three iconic routes, along with Crystal city and some other access trails in the area. I ran about 1/3 of Pearl pass last time I was there and it was amazing and beautiful so I wanna go back and do the entire trails now that the Jeep is built for wheelin!
If anyone wants to meet up for any of these let me know! We will likely be staying in Aspen so the wife can be happy while I’m wheelin 🤣

Very low maybe. I'm interested in the area and would like to visit those trails. I will be just returning from a week+ away in Illinois and will likely be slammed with catch-up work.

The ultimate day of wheelin (albeit long) would be to start up a Pearl pass from Aspen and then take Paradise divide north to Schofield pass and run it north to Crystal city mine and then west to marble, co. Probably be 8 hours start to finish.

Is Schofield the one with the sketchy/narrow shelf trail dumping down into the creek - with assorted motorcycle off's?

Since most likely I’ll be running solo, I’ll probably run Pearl pass to Crested Butte and then back the same way (still probably 6+ hours). Then on a different day I’ll probably drive to Marble and run the road to Crystal Mine (epic photograph of this mine) and back with the wife. She is deathly afraid of narrow shelf roads so I won’t take her on Schofield or any other scary shelf roads! I may take her up Taylor pass from the Aspen side since it’s supposed to be mostly just a dirt road. The southern portion of this trail is what gives it the difficult rating.
I will have fun on my own but obviously would love a partner to run these trails with if at all possible.
Here’s my Jeep a couple months ago, totally stock, on Pearl pass shortly before turning back

Sounds like a fun trip! There is a good chance my wife and I will be passing Marble that week on the way to Gunnison, if it aligns I'll try to hook up. There are (atleast) two cool things in Marble- the slow groovin' bbq and the Marble Mill Site park.
