Moab 10/2021

[FINOCJ]

Made it out to Moab with the cj...the run was with a couple other early cj jeeps, and one TJ whose owner had an early cj5 until the last year or so. Over 4 days I ran 7-mile, Fins and Hells, Poison Spyder, and Gold Bar Rim and Gemini Bridges. As always, Moab is photo spectacular....

Day 2: Fins and Hells...per usual, I chickened out on both Hells Gate and TOC...but Jeff in the TJ ran Hells Gate following some built jeeps that were hanging out playing around on it.

Day 4 was the highlight for me....Gold Bar Rim...
A lot of people only run this trail one way when exiting from Golden Spike, but it's a great stand alone trail as an out and back to a spectacular overlook. 99% of this trail is just a bit easier than poison Spyder, but one obstacle (the waterfall ledge - not to be confused with the waterfall on PS) is a bit more....you also go down it first on the way in, and have to get up it on the way out...all 3 of us winched up it.
