Rubber Hose for brake fluid

The aftermarket Willwood master cylinder I have mounted in the OEM location under the floorboard has remote reservoirs that connect to the MC with rubber hose. I am moving the location of the reservoirs, and the hoses that came with the MC will need to be replaced (new location requires a slightly longer hose). I am wondering if there is anything special about rubber hose for brake fluid - can I use regular old rubber hose, or will it not stand up to brake fluid (sort of like gasoline eats regular rubber hose, and fuel rated hose is needed). The hose that came with the MC kit is Gates Plant 200 psi....Looks like I should use EPDM (which is sort of standard radiator/heater hose material), but NOT fuel rated hose nor hydraulic fluid hose.

There are SAE standards for all of the hose types on our cars. Some overlap and cover multiple types. The standard for Dot 3/4/5.1 (non-silicone) is J1401 so if you find hose compatible with that spec you are good.

So after internet research last night, its sort of the opposite of fuel and heater hose...In other words, the only hose you should NOT put brake fluid in is an oil resistant or fuel hose - the brake fluid will eat through any oil or fuel resistant hose (and I assume power steering hose as well since that is ATF) just like gas will eat through standard EPDM hose. Standard EPDM hose is what is needed. The J1401 hose is the high pressure version for hose that is downstream of the MC - whereas if you are upstream of the MC like what I need from the reservoir to the MC, it doesn't need to be high pressure. But just to make sure of all of this, I called Willwood this morning to verify - they said EPDM hose is correct and they supply 200-250 psi line with their stuff, but it probably doesn't need to be anywhere near that high. The actual hose they supplied with my kit that I am needing to replace is Gates Plant Master 200, which is marketed as bulk EPDM hose for agricultural use (sprayers and irrigation) for 200 psi. Its promoted by Gates as very flexible and its a bit thinner walled (so smaller outer diameter) than what I just bought from FLAPS, so its a bit easier to route where you need it to go. I would be tempted to buy the 30" section from Willwood listed on summit, but at over $20 for 2 sections and shipping, I am trying $5 from my FLAPS first. Plus, I am down to a big time crunch - only 11 more days maximum to get this finished.
