Hey yall, long time no talk... feel like my truck has been in the shop forever. It's really difficult to get parts right now and caused major delays but I finally was able to pick my truck up today after having so much work done.

We ran into a few bumps in the road in terms of plans but mostly everything was solved to a point of satisfaction. One big bummer for me was I had been dead set on Mickey Thompson 40" Baja Pros with TrailReady bead locks but after ordering them and waiting for months they told the shop I was working with that we may have to wait until 2022 Summer for the tires and we got the wheels but they didn't know when they would be able to get us the beadlock rings. He got his hands on some 40" Pro Comp MT2s which aren't my favorite but I was sick of waiting and figure whenever the Mickeys can finally come in I can try to sell these and swap them. Was also able to get our hands on some Raceline Monster Beadlocks which I'm perfectly happy with in place of the TrailReadys.

One other slightly unexpected thing that they weren't sure about was in order to fit the new 4 links for the front and back they had to remove my gas tank so i have a new fuel cell in the bed of my truck with a little bar to fill up with.

Congrats - that's a bit of a long road to work with.

Uncertain if I'll be heading out this weekend - but you certainly should! The Check-In Thread is an option to consider.

I’m hoping to get out at some point this weekend, although likely staying in the Peak to Peak Highway areas…..
Killer Build Scott!!!! Can’t wait to wheel with you again, it’s been a couple years for sure

Hey Matt long time no wheel for sure :)

I'm up for anything other than Miller Rock if you have a suggestion, I'll likely be bringing the kids and family so would like to avoid those narrow trails with a big ledge on them, really the only part about Miller Rock I didn't like

I'm putting you two in a class by yourselves. Your next step up is "buggy class" but you have too much un-dented bodywork.

Here's a question for each of ya? What's the ground clearance with your lowest spot of metal (diff pumpkin??)?

Scott has 40" tires with conventional straight axle.
Shane has 35" ? tires with portals giving 3.5" ? / 4" ? / 4.5" ? of lift ???

Pretty sure Shane is on 38.5 tire after the portal install.

38.5” tires. clearance under the pumpkin is 17.5” or so, depends on tire pressure which I run pretty low sometimes. 5” total axle lift.

13" clearance for the rear diff
12" for the front diff

this is at full tire pressure though

Just looking at the pics again, that much sidewall just looks right.

Impressive numbers all around!

Scott's thinking - maybe next winter I'll add some portals......;)

i only have a few more plans in the works for the truck that i can think of, next up likely an interior roll cage.
