I got a call from offroadportal.org about a Jeep XJ stuck in the mud. I talked to the owner, he said he was just off a forest service road, no big deal, just ventured off in the mud and got stuck. Thinking it was no big deal, and really, it was late, so not thinking much at all I just put the address in Google Maps, it said 90 minutes, and I headed out on my way not looking at the route. It ended up routing me over Miner's Gulch and with the snow I didn't even recognize it at first :lmao: It would have been a while to go around so I just kept driving the trail, but in retrospect I should have turned around and gone in from the other side. It all turned out fine though, I got him winched out and on his way home and had a little adventure.

Plus, the trail is clear now :D

That's an awfully difficult trail to accidentally break first tracks on. Glad the G doesn't make things too easy!

This section was tricky. I had to pretty much point my nose up the snow hill to the left, then crank my wheels to the right and spin all four tires to slide sideways along the section of trail.

Thanks for the adventure Google Maps. Perfectly reasonable way to route someone.

As soon as I stepped in this mud, both feet sand in and I fell over, luckily onto a dry rock. I had to do the thing where you slowly pull on your boots to break the suction, it wasn't that deep but was super sticky. A quick winch and he was out.

It was definitely not too easy. I was sweating it a bit at a couple of points.
