I have a friend from La visiting July 2nd. Would like to take her Jeeping Sunday the 2nd in Metberry Gulch in Divide, have a picnic, maybe explore some geocaches, and head out.

Problem with my Jeep. The check engine light that kept coming on since a trip to Ouray last August finally went off by replacing some parts this month. Now, my check gauges light comes on and oil gage reads 0. Mechanic says typical with TJ's and unless the engine sounds like a sewing machine, and oil is full, not to worry. I also have some knocking under the carriage.

Anyway, I would like to do Metberry the 2nd, I am dropping off the Jeep this Wed for repair and hope I can get it fixed.

If there is any interest in running Metberry and my Jeep is fixed I will post it as an official trip.

Guess no interest? Most likely too late to meet as a group.

I have an 04 TJ and had the check gauges and 0 oil pressure reading. I replaced my oil pressure sending unit and that did the trick. Recommend paying up for a Mopar part and not the $7 crap at O'Reilly. I've also heard that just unplugging and plugging the OPSU electrical connector back in can sometimes fix this problem. Connector ends get a little corroded inside the sensor and the act of unplugging and plugging back in scrapes the corrosion off

We had our mechanic fix it for $137. We also have knocking under the front end. Track bar might be going bad or it could be the dry shift. We are going out of town next week and hope it can get fixed in time fo enjoy the summer. We like It sucks when things go bad in summer verses being able to get things fixed over winter. 😞

Quick update on the knocking. After replacing the rear axal, works like a charm. Can't find the post where someone asked me how many miles on the Jeep which is 145k. It does seem to be fixed now.
