I ran Bill Moore lake with Rob this past Sunday. I could not believe how much that trail has changed. I barely recognized it. There used to be a lot of smooth whoop-dee-doos if I remember correctly. There isn't really anything smooth about it any more!
My husband rode along with me because he wanted to scope out the trail for a future run on his dirt bike. (He's going to need to add a lot of protection to his bike it for sure). It's a fun trail. Nothing too difficult, a few shallow and short water crossings. Beautiful views (at the top especially)!
We had perfect weather and it wasn't very crowded at the top, just a handful of Jeeps (one firmly planted on the "Poser Rock"). Then a large group of razors showed up and pretty much took up all the space. That's when we started back.
While airing up at the trail head, I managed to destroy a valve stem. Rob and Britton put the spare on for me and we were on our way home before the rain hit.
