I’m looking to do something near Denver on September 10th. The date can’t change but I’m open to trail suggestions. Currently looking at Argentine Pass and McClellan Mountain. Looking for something moderate with good views more so than technical.

Moderate with good views options...
Kingston Peak
Bill Moore Lake (not via Red Elephant Hill - just up/down from Empire)

Argentine / McClellan are on the list.

Also, for McClellan, consider at least out to the knob area (Google Map (https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B040'15.0%22N+105%C2%B046'08.8%22W/@39.6708441,-105.7713097,690m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0xebeb2aaf134e583a !7e2!8m2!3d39.6708401!4d-105.7691212)) that is a nice lunch spot. A trip to the mine house & gated mine adit - (Google Map (https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B040'38.6%22N+105%C2%B046'57.2%22W/@39.677387,-105.7831122,172m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x964f507caf2fdbb4 !7e2!8m2!3d39.6773857!4d-105.7825647)) (bring a strong flashlight) might not be wise. Folks need to be cautious with that shelf road.

Argentine can be really beautiful this time of year. Its georgous when the trees are turning.

Jim- both of your suggestions look great, thank you for the input.

I have no preference either way, I would go with whatever gets a bigger group. We’re still a few weeks out so I will wait a bit before deciding and making an official calendar entry.
