Roy, if you wish a hand in the next steps for the run. The general process is to create a new calendar entry. This will allow you to RSVP a yes and for others who are looking to join to also RSVP yes's. This is often what everyone going on the run, specifically the organizer, to check before heading out that morning - who (Yes's) should be at the meeting spot.
To put an entry onto the calendar -
Click "Calendar" near the top of each page.
On the calendar page - look near the top-right area for a button that says "Add New Trail Run"
Once that button is clicked, fill in the details - feel free to use (copy/paste/adjust as appropriate) the sample calendar text.
Once the calendar entry is created, you can RSVP your Yes.
You can grab the URL for the calendar page.
Head into the "2 Planned Trail Runs" forum and create a new thread - often using the same title as that which was used for the calendar
Add whatever finalizing details you wish and perhaps the URL to the calendar.
Some folks grab the "Planned" URL and post that as the last post in the "Planning" thread - not needed but as a courtesy to kick folks reading "Planning" to the "Planned" thread.
Often, not much ends up in the "Planned" thread and this is OK. Planned is often clean and EASY to read as it might contain last minute details (Planning is often messy and not easy to read in a last-minute-out-the-door rush).
Nothing's set in stone on the process, but that's the typical setup.
Once folks are back from the run, posting in a "3 Trail Run Reports" thread is appreciated by everyone here to see what happened.
Any question - just ask - here or via PM.
