I can't help with this one. I have been to Argentine as a passenger and when I don't drive there, I am even more directionally challenged than usual. :o

I take it you're talking about where the trail literally begins at the paved switchbacks? It's been long enough for me that I can't picture power lines or other trails at that spot.

Yes, those are the ones which can also be seen father up the trail and at the old townsite of Waldorf.
