It was a great day with great people. Aaron, Thanks for organizing this, it was fun to get out of the house. The bbq turned out good.

No carnage to report, everything went smooth. The snow made it a little slickery in a couple places though. Not much snow, only about an inch or two.

Here's some pics..............

Looks like it was a good time guys! Did anyone from Denver get stuck on 285? Weather report said 285 over Kenosha was closed this afternoon. Likely blowing snow I suspect.

LaDawn and I along with Bren got stuck on the wrong side of Kenosha. We decided not to do the 3 hour drive the long way around to get to the trail. Glad that you guys had a good time. We were busting through new snow up to around 20" deep in spots.

Nice guys, wish I had been able to make it to the run. Glad I didn't make it to just be turned back at Kenosha Pass.

Looks like those that made it had a good time, thanks for sharing!

Yeah....missed seeing you guys, too and we wanted to meet some of the folks that we haven't met yet. Thanks for posting all the pictures! I wanted to take a closer look at Warlord's rig, too, dammit!

We were a little bummed about the pass being shut down. We kept seeing signs that it was closed, but drove up there anyway just to make sure. Turns out that we just might have been able to get there if we had followed the roads we were on down into South Park. They all funnel down to County Road 35 on the north side of Michigan Hill just before Jefferson.

The big job that I was working on was on the opposite side of Michigan Hill and west of the marshes. Almost that whole area is owned by the landowner's family. They homesteaded it back in the 1800s.

The FS roads actually circumvent his land heading towards Como and you can find your way up to Georgia Pass following them the other way. Like I said...there are miles of them...

I'm downright jealous!

That trip looks like alot of fun; pretty solid turnout as well. We got held up in KC and didn't get back until late Sunday, which is why the Runner didn't make it on the trip.

Steve, cool video.

Nice photos all around. Judging by the snow, the line was easy to follow if the leader got it right.

No carnage is good I guess.

Any one looking to plan a Front Range snow run? Post up! This part of the season, I'm trying to save up for my SAS and selectable locker for next Spring. The SAS is becoming more and more attractive due to the fragile IFS components. I'm looking to repack wheel bearings, replace ball joints, replace idler arm, etc... I like my IFS except for its durability.

Anyway, sweet run, good to see new folks, way to make it work folks!

I am getting people interested in a snow run to be done pre or post xmas, but now much later than jan 1st due to the snow accumulation. Bren, Dave Nay, Aaron, and Tye ore up for this so far, Fred might go, too. When I get enough interest, I'll post a date

What are you looking for in parts for the SAS and how is your budget? Many of us here have additional parts lying around and or know of deals. Let us know what you want and we can probably help out a bit ...
