aaron i have a allterra gt and i let somebody barrow it this last summer and they bent the rim i dont know if they jumped on it or drove on it buts in bent up pretty good. do you know how to bend on back into shape. its bent enough to stop the wheel at the frame but if you ride you can still turn but it hard everytime that part hits the frame. or do you know anybody that has a wheel for sale. ive checked CL butreally came up empty. also my rock shocks dont go up or down they are not working any tips would be appreciated thanks

Sounds pretty bad on the rim, you might be able to take it to a shop and have them true it.. Can you bring it back yes if not to far out of round. I know of a bike shop here that has used parts. they sold me a good rim for $40 which beat the $220 it wold have cost me otherwise.

Are your shocks totally compressed? are they an air shock? if you could send pics/ find out what model shock they are that would help me a lot. if they are an air ride you just simply need t pump them back up. if they are spring/elastomer they should work just fine and if they are hydraulic you may have to send them in for a rebuild .... or just get a new/used pair.

New good shocks can be found around $200 - 250

That rim should be trueable.

Shock - so it won't compress at all? Those are old shocks, I believe that model is a fluid build ( have to double check) so you are looking at a rebuild. Honestly I would get a new front shock if that one is not working. Depending on the length of the frame between the shock and the handlebar stem I have an older shock that still works I would give you, just have to figure out a meeting place.

Overall nice bike, older but if it works who cares. Looks like an early 90's GT. Great bikes!
