I decided i needed to get out of the house yesterday, i drove from sedalia to woodland park via 67. about 45min from woodland park i saw this sign for 343 so i decided to do a little exploring. nothing too exciting, but it was good to get out of the house for a few hours.

Great to see the rig on the road again! I have run that road looking for access to rock climbs in the area. Used to look better pre Hayman fire, but still nice...

Yeah, I got to some climbs, but not from that road. Just about any rock formations you can see from the road and many that you can't in the South Platte, I have either put up new routes on, climbed existing routes on, or both. I have been climbing and exploring in the whole South Platte area since 1970 or so. I have still been finding unclimbed (from a technical rock climbing perspective) rocks in the area. It is a cool area to explore...complex, too...

The biggest rocks you see from there are in the Jackson Creek valley, which includes the Devil's Head formation, the largest one. I was on this road to try to find a shorter route into some (at the time) unexplored rocks on the south side. Later climbers put up routes here from the regular Devil's Head trail accessed from the north side from the fire tower trail...a long walk...but to a cool area.

Happy your rig is mobile...looking forward to seeing you again!
