that would be like getting in an accident with a Smart car. is saving a couple of bucks on gas worth it?

So who do you imagine the 'crash test dummies' were in the small cars? Who did they PO to get volunteered for this test? Were they compensated by their bosses/companies at all? did their insurance companies disallow the claim?

Make you want to go out and buy a Smart Car and drive it around, doesn't it They are smaller than anything in the test....

Here was the ad:

Have I got a deal for you! Volunteers need to participate in safety standard tests for economy cars! Must be 18 years of age or older, valid driver's liscense not required. Proof of US citizenship not required. For each day of the test, you will be paid $50 in US dollars, cash.

You must show up in person to collect your pay. Family members, relatives, or friends will not be paid for your time.
