Last Saturday, after doing Top of the World, we drove into town to get food and vaccuum out the truck. Plus, we needed T-shirts and the dog needed a nap. After finding food and my Polygamy Porter Wasatch Brewery shirt, we looked at the book to find something easy and close by. It was late afternoon and we camped 30 miles up from Moab.
Bull Canyon is an off-shoot from Gemini Bridges. At around 4.7 miles the trail branches off and dips into a wash. I love driving through washes. Back out and onto a soft dirt track. This is where I get to step on the skinny pedal. Nothing like flying through a sand-filled trench, focused on nothing but steering and speed. I had to slow down suddenly once. There is a hair pin turn with a brushy tree to driver's side and berm to passenger. My turning radius was just tight enough but if I had not shot driver, I would have had amber plastic in the garbage bag.
There is also a sand playground. If you looked at the video Gatemonkey posted, you will see it. There are five routes up and down. I liked the steep one. You can gun it up and make a fun turn at the top. I will be taking in that trail often.

Yeah, that's a fun spot I had forgotten all about. Thanks for the pics and reminder, my "must do" list for moab is getting longer. :D
