regretfully I did not take pictures and half melted now, but on my little hill in Broomfield 2 feet if not more. Level with the front of the hood of a Honda accord that parked next to me.

here is the view out "my" window. Actually it was out the window of my truck, where I had to sleep last night in Idaho Springs. The other two pics are what I returned to when I got back to Denver. The red truck is my daily driver, and that is the parking lot at work... and no, it is not usually a lake...

yea, morrison to vail in both directions. Took me 2.5 hours to go from next to the Georgetown reservoir to the Georgetown exit. Then I got turned around back to Idaho Springs, and no one was allowed to leave in any direction. Hotels were all sold out, and they had a shelter set up, but I chose the truck cab over the gym with 300 cots. Managed to roll out at 6 this morning, but the road was still closed. Didnt open till 10. I just figured out there wasnt a cop posted anymore!

That sucks, I used to paint those Deline trucks when they first went to that design.

I finally got around to pulling my pics from saturday off my camera. On saturday I took a drive down to my mom's place on the south end of town. knowing there would be snow, I took the camera:
such different conditions were only 20 miles apart still both in town.
Started at my house. we failed to get any snow - just LOTS of rain. our driveway and street:

driving south we started to get snow on the sides of the road at about 96th Ave.

by the exit for the airport the ground was pretty well covered. (note the auto focus on the camera bites - it focused on the defroster in the windshield)

By I-70/E470 the rain was turning to snow, and the camera still was focusing wrong

exiting E470 at smoky hill rd there was lots of snow on the top of the off ramp.
