Post up an questions...you'll probably get more informed answers that you need. Lotta knowledge in all forms kicking around on this site and people are more than willing to help with your stuff.
Gotta a lot of Jeep folks and a lotta resources in the make and model links for Jeep parts and builds. No matter what we are driving now, I think most of the old guys (like me) have owned and built up a Jeep or two. I had a 74 Cherokee back in the day that I built up from a near free rust bucket into something pretty capable and, most recently, a 91 XJ that I did a mild build up on.
Have fun here and hope to see you on a trail soon. Post some pictures of your rig!
