Scary people are like this, still. Click on the link to see the mug shots.

HOUSTON – A couple has been accused of opening fire and wounding four people — including a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl — who they mistakenly thought were trespassing on their property.
The victims, who were off-roading near a residential area about 40 miles northeast of Houston, were struck with shotgun pellets late Thursday after stopping their vehicles near the Trinity River so the children could go to the bathroom, said Liberty County Chief Deputy Ken DeFoor.
Police said resident Sheila Muhs, 45, fired once with a 12-gauge shotgun, then handed it to her husband, ***le Muhs, also 45. DeFoor said Sheila Muhs called 911 and told the dispatcher, "They're out here tearing up the levee, so I shot them."
The Muhs have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and remained in jail Friday. The Muhs don't have an attorney yet to comment on their case, DeFoor said.
Donald Coffey Jr., the 7-year-old boy, was shot in the head and was in critical condition Friday. Patrick Cammack, a friend of the boy's father who was driving in a separate vehicle, also was shot in the head and in critical condition.
Donald Coffey Sr., 36, had a pellet wound in his right shoulder. His daughter, 5-year-old Destiny, was shot in the elbow but was in good condition.
After the shootings, Coffey's wife, who also was riding in the SUV, drove the vehicle to a nearby fire station, where the victims were taken by helicopter to a hospital. The right rear window of the SUV had been shattered, and pellet marks covered the side of the vehicle, DeFoor said.
The victims said Coffey and Cammack took a county road to a residential levee in the Westlake subdivision near the Trinity River.
According to an 11-year-old boy who was also with the off-roading group, they did not stop on the levee but by the side of the road, DeFoor said.
Shortly afterward, DeFoor said, the shots were fired from about 40 yards away. DeFoor said the victims were unarmed.
"The levee is not private property, it belongs to the subdivision," said DeFoor. "Even if they were on the levee, it's not a shootable offense. It's ludicrous to shoot someone for going to the bathroom on the side of the road."

Sick and twisted SOBs they should shoot them. I am a law student and the defense of property is never a reason to use deadly force.... Texas needs to change their laws and stop that kind of foolishness.

I always thought that the best punishment for violent crimes was to give the signifigant other or relatives of the victim each 10 minutes in an isolated room with no questions asked to have at the commiter of the crime. Vigilante justice is the most effective justice.

I posted this up, originally before the news about the boy, as kind of a caution. People like to have their meth labs all secluded like, and I have heard that out by Kens Lake near Moab, is a cooking spot for meth. Just be aware this crap is moving into areas people like us might frequent.

Unfortunately this kind of filth is springing up all over the place and closer than Moab. Colorado Springs is already a big hotspot for meth. Sad part is that crime always likes to find its home where decent people live.

Of all drugs Meth is the one i least understand. why would someone look at the chemicals under the sink and think to "cook" them up? However I do agree with you guys 10min alone with these asshats... and hey look at the bright side it'd be saving us tax payers some $$$. talk about two birds with one stone...

Look what happens when you heat drano, sudafed and what, rat poison? You will never need a toothbrush again, you find all sorts of new and creative ways to make money, and you become very possessive of your property. What's not to like?

Lol for serious. Who thought that would be smart? Gee lemme see how stoned I can get by putting poison in my body.

Here's idea #2 to handle criminals, if we can't have the 10 min alone business...... Giant hamster wheels!..... We make all of the hardened DOC criminals run on treadmills or giant wheels all day long instead of sitting in their cells or watching cable TV that we pay for and connect the running machines to electrical generators. Basically have criminals "run" our power plants(by run I mean run in and not control). Doubt it would be enough to power any city but certainly would help and it will for sure be a renewable resource because; let's face it, unfortunately we will always have way more criminals than we know what to do with. ;)

This has happened before and not in Texas so don't think it couldn't happen here. Here's a link to a similar thing in Oregon http://www.zukikrawlers.com/showthread.php?t=23638

There is blood in one of the photos so if you really don't want to see it DON"T LOOK.
