I made the mistake last year of telling them let me get back to you. My wife decided to take worn clothes to either Goodwill or the Salvation Army.
Seemed like I would get a call from the Charity Pickup daily after that and after several attempts to explain to them we had nothing I got nasty, they woke me up during a much needed sleep and I forgot to turn the ringer off. They got both barrels and they quit calling. A few months went by and last week they started again, last night I got nasty with them again and this morning they called. I am on the do not call list and I just blocked their number, but I am not sure how many they have.
Anyone else have this problem?

I donate to ARC only because they are not only my preferred organization (special needs) but because thye are so polite with their solicitation calls. Tell them you don't have anything and they say "Thank You," tell them to call back in a week and they will. Very nice and a good cause.

Yeah I don't like being that way, but what's left to do? From one day to the next I don't have anything that needs to go out.
They always manage to call at the worst time too, while I am up on a ladder or in the middle of a restroom break.

The absolute worst ids the Lupus Foundation. They literally harassed us, would hang up when I answered and call numerous times a day. They are blocked from my number.

I would never say yes to any of those calls. I always drop my stuff off at locations in person and anonymously. Then they don't call me later. Still get more than enough calls though.

The ones that get me are the Policemans ball and Policemans Charity(Family) I mean you do it once and then you are one their list forever even after asking them to remove your name and number. I would rather donate to the Denver Rescue miossion or Denver Dumb Friends League than any other cause I know where what I donate is going. I learned that even if your name is on the no call list that it does not apply to charitable organizations.

Wow what an incentive to donate. I always go down in person to the local goodwill. drop my stuff off and go home. no phone calls. and rockymtnhigh i dont' blame you one bit for yelling at them. just because they call in the name of chairy doesn't mean they can do whatever they want. i'd have done the same thing.

I drop off in person and don't give numbers.. My parents had that problem for years.
