So i work downtown, and i frequent the 7-11 and know the guys that work there on a first name basis, good people there. So i am doing a bit of shopping and out of the corner of my eye i see a guy being suspicious at the donut cabinet (fresh donuts). He looks at the counter while his friend pays for something and takes a single glazed donut out and proceeds to the back frozen food door and munches away. It is obvious to me that hes not going to pay for it and i motion to my friend behind the counter that dude is eating a donut and to make sure he pays for it. Well, i get my stuff and time my counter visit right behind him and he steps up, puts down a bag of nuts and hands money over. At that moment i looked at him and said " you gonna pay for that donut you ate" my friend behind the counter asked what kind and the dude said glazed, with the look of damn im busted... I then told the kid this " dont ever think your not being watched all the time". He paid for it and left with no lip. My friend thanked me and i told him i F'ing hate thives.

I dont put up with theft of any kind. One donut, and that kid could have have a jail record (if he didnt have one already)

1 donut. $.99 or Jail.... hmmmm thats a hard one.

i like getting in peoples face about things when they are guilty of wrongdoing such as theft... or if they start semething with a friend. They will have to get through me first.


Honor and integrity were a couple things i took to heart when in the military, just cause im out doesnt mean i dont have to live by those standards.

Actually I like the 'cut off the right hand' theory for thieves, especially in those countries where they don't use tp, but do the business with their left hand (a class act, BTW...guess they don't have leaves or anything else there) That way everyone knows that you are a thief...and have a nasty left hand to eat with to boot...

Good way of handling that Randy. The kid might, just might have even learned a lesson in that. Don't steal and you are not entitled to whatever you see. Others rarely speak up or step up so great example you set there. :thunb:
