I've been wanting to do Red Cone since I first saw pics of it. Seamed like a really fun easy trail with a little bit of pucker coming down the hill at the end. So yesterday I decided this will be the tail of choice. Got up and out the door my 06:30 and was on the trail by 09:00. I started from the 285 side of Webster. Aired down and was on my way. I wound up missing the Red Cone turn off and drove all the way to the top of Webster. There are some pretty decent mud holes along the way, big enough to swallow my 33's. When i got to the top i parked and climbed to the top of one of the hills took some pics and backtracked. Found where I missed the turn off and started up Red Cone. I was more than a little surprised at how rocky the bottom is. There are definitely some big rocks and picking you line is a must. trail damage rates this trail at a 3 i would put it at least a 4 maybe even a 5. There was a stock z-71 behind me with only slightly bigger tires, so it can be run in stockers but it will be a challenge. Once i got up to the top again took some more pics and then headed down. I gotta say all the hype over the decent off Red Cone is just that hype IMO. I found the decent to be no big deal and fairly tame. After I descended Red Cone I continued down the other side of Webster, debated going up Radical Hill but decided to leave that for another day. All in all a very good day. pics....

Great report. I see that Webster is open now.. 2 weeks ago it still had a huge snowfield at the top. Good to see you are getting out

the decent years back wss bad it had massive dips in it. i havepics of the old days here on the forum somewhere. i was suprised that they smoothed it out. it was scary back in the day. alot of trucks went end over end on the dips .
