Well, not exactly a 'trail run', but there were enough interesting cars and trucks there to warrant a report...and variety, too. There were nearly perfect restorations, rat rods, dune buggies, hot VWs (like needing wheelie bars hot), pro street, 4x4s, race cars and a monster truck.

I ran into Jeff and Barb and quite a few other folks I knew, including our old neighbor on Logan.

See for yourself...I took a bunch of photos.

The Kaiser Darrin:

Since I had never seen one of these before I decided to do a little research. Turns out it was a 'concept car' and only 435 were ever built, all in 1954. There are 412 of the original 435 still left. To give you an idea of the value, one of these just sold for over $100k.

I guess I will post up some of the pics that I think Pete missed... I apologize in advance for any duplicates. There was a LOT of vehicles there.

One of only two custom built Caddy's that were modified right out of the factory. The Shelby version of the tow-truck!

Also the trophies, each one hand built, painted, pinstriped, and topped off with a car!

Some of the trucks. Anything look familiar? ;)

Bill knows the guy with the white Blazer on the ramp. It has double (front and rear on the rear springs) revolver shackles. Bill said that it has some incredible articulation and when the shackles are locked down for street driving drives very well.

A nice little bit of 'outside the box' thinking. Take a look at how little body lean the rig has on the ramp. All the flex is in the suspension...

The black truck looks somehow familiar....

I have to say I'm torn between the red truck and the hearse.

I remembered my camera when we parked at the Arvada Car Show, but it looks like some of the same rides were at both shows. Nice variety at the Englewood show!

I have to agree with you on the Mustang...I think my eyes are still hurting from it. I hung around it a bit to see if the owner was a chick(I sure hope) or a dude, but no one ever came close to the car. I would've gone for a deep cherry black metallic or black....We have a friend who has the first gen fastback..hot supercharged engine, hot suspension, lowered, shaved, everything is black and it looks killer..
