So I had a little time today and spent a few hours on the 84 Yota. Here is what I did:
On the rear, I used a decorative plastic panel from Screwder's 90s something 4Runner bumper that he gave me about 6 months ago. A little cutting and fitting gave the rear (where the tailgate would go) a finished look.
Next, since this is an 84 and I had put a free 87 bumper on it, the bumper had to be lengthened on both sides to make it look like it was supposed to be there. Since I could buy a used 84 bumper for $40-50 which I didn't have, and already had this one, some steel and time, I simply extended the existed and re welded the cut off ends back on.
Tomorrow I do the front engine rebuild to get rid of the nasty oil leaks. This is merely a matter of tearing it down and replacing all the gaskets as the timing chain, etc was all replaced not too long ago. Stupid project and a lot of work simply to un ass someone elses crappy work.
