It's been 8 years since 9/11 and I just wanted let everyone know that I will never forget about the people who lost their lives that day. I know everyone has their opinion about the events leading up to and after but the bottom line is many men, women and children lost their lives on that faithful day! I LOVE MY COUNTRY and I will never forget!!!

I agree...too bad so many people have pretty much 'forgotten' this wake up call and have fallen back into the typical all American fat ass, sit in front of the TV apathy.

Too bad too that Homeland Security has taken on almost all of the aspects of Hitler's 'Brown Shirts' (and we are letting them get away with it) and not really doing what they should be doing...

I feel exactly the same!

I will never forget what happened that day, where I was, or what it did to and for this country.

As I do every year I'm doing an afternoon motorcycle ride. If you see my bike with a large 3x5 American flag (trying to source a Gadsden flag too), wave! I wear a high viz green jacket with tons of patches, I'm hard to miss!

Anyone else doing anything today?

I had a cousin on one of the planes that hit the WTC so I don't forget this day. I see that 8 years later, the US is spineless. We are too concerned with cultural sensitivity/political correctness to get anything done. We can only fight a war within the acceptable limits of public opinion (biased by main stream media, of course).

Enough ranting  lets just remember the fallen and try to remember what it means to be an American.

I was at the airport waiting to get on a flight to go to Basic Training. Evidently, for some reason, all of the flights were cancelled. So I had to wait another 6 days to go. It actually helped me get pumped up for the Army.

Hey Kyle, there was a bit of fighter activity from Buckley this morning, were there Memorial flights, ceremony flyovers or something? I love watching them fly over our place.

I'm not sure. I know that they had some ceremonies, and Memorials, etc. But I'm not sure if the fighters had anything to do with them. It was unusual to so that many up at once. Usually, it's one or two, but today I saw six. They usually don't bother me, except when I'm working nights (like last night) and sleep until noon or so.

Same here and I remember how sad I felt for my little girl who was only a few months old what kind of world she will have to grow up in. I hope that by the time she is an adult this world will have changed for the better for all people around this world.

My friend Steve joined me for a ride this afternoon. It was a good afternoon to be thankful for what I have. (Mine is the black bike)

its a day to remember and large lesson was learned on this day and many have given there lives for this cause i have respect for all who gave there lives and serve our country. this subject is sensitive for many. i know that we dont want to get political but i strongly suggest everyone sees this http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ click on the movie to the right titled remastered/final edition
i understand that some of you may have your believes but this movie is ineffective if you dont watch the whole thing it is educational and it has good points to be made as far as emotions go you will feel a bout every one you have thats all im going to say and unfortunatlly i will not be willing to discuss this video on the forum simply because there is to much to discuss and we wont get anything done by discussing it its hard to watch but i urge all to see it im posting this for educational purposes only! far well and cheers to another year of freedom

when this happened, a good friend who just got out of the marines and i were in a dive shop getting ready to go diving. When we saw the second plane hit the building we knew that it had just hit the fan and war was next to come. We both were expecting to be recalled back to the marines or army (for me) to suit up and do our jobs.

I will never forget.

never forget. the ironic thing about this day is that day was my hire date at my current job and my sons birthday.
