right now there is a 5 cent tax on any size soda. now they want to change it to a penny an ounce. which means a 12 pack of soda would cost an extra 1.44 at least and .64 $ for a 2 liter of pop. all energy drinks included and fountain drinks at resteraunts and fast food joints. the government is thinking it would bring in an extra 15 billion in taxs . this is wrong. i live off of soda. there thinkinging it would make people loss around 2 lbs a year because the extra cost would deter people from sugary sodas like the tobacco tax did for cigerrets. it never deterd my family or friends we still smoke and pay alot more than we used to.sometimes the gov sould back off and qiut taxing all our giulty pleasures.

I just laugh at the government, finding any possible way to get some revenue
