I'm looking for a scrap yard at the north end of the town (Denver, Brighton area) where I could dispose of a car. I have a shell for a 1971 VW Beetle that is taking up space and I need it gone. It will hurt me as it is in a decent shape and should be restored, but I just need it gone (and if I could get a few bucks out of it that'd make it a bit less painfull ) Does anybody have any experience with this?
I also have bunch of useless old (metal) parts from various vehicles that have accumulated over time (broken leaf springs, axles, drums, rotors, etc.)

You might try Rocky Mountain Recycling in Commerce City http://www.mountainrecycling.com/Retail.html . You might want to check and make sure that they take cars though, as I know some recyclers don't (EPA regulations regarding automotive fluids, etc.).

Have you tried posting it on craigslist?

Yeah he's had it on craigs.

Search CL for junk car removal. There are several companies that will come remove your car for free, some pay a little depending.
