View Full Version : Hit/Run Accident

My neighbors parked car was smashed in a hit and run at 3AM. I got in the Forester and tried to follow them, but they had too much of a lead. Completely demolished the little car. Luckily it isn't their only car as they are going paycheck to paycheck and there is no insurance to cover the car.

In any case, looking for some sort of SUV or truck in South Metro Denver, possibly a white Cherokee by one report, with fresh SIGNIFICANT damage to the right front end. Imagine smashed grille, wrinkled hood a bit, broken R lights, bent fender and bumper. The car isn't driveable so the SUV/truck is likely just barely driveable.

PM with any leads/info. All leads will remain anonymous. Thanks!

The car that was hit is gold. There is no paint on the car, so there may not be any paint on the truck/SUV. The damage is just barely above the rear bumper, so it had to be something 4wd with no lift or very minimal lift.

any updates?

Minor update. They found a piece of the headlight yesterday. It is "molded plastic" with a Chrysler emblem. Being how tall it is, that makes it either a Jeep Grand or a Dodge Truck. Can't think of another vehicle that fits the bill. The police knew within a few minutes that it may have been a white Jeep. Sounds like they are looking for a white Grand Cherokee.

HOLY CRAP!!!! That is not that easy of a car to bend. I am surprised the other vehicle drove away.

The rear window was blown out by the trunk. The back side window by the bending of the structure. The driver door window is intact, but won't open. Amazingly, the car can still move under its own power. Just enough to move it a few feet. It was a hard hit as it moved the car about 50 feet and it was in "park".
