Went down to China Wall to check it out. Well after not making the first hill (4 tires spinning forward, rigs going backwards). We had fun on the meadow. Some sleds, a tow rope etc... Good times! Was having too much fun to take a lot of pics, managed to get a few.

On the way back we drove around Garden of the Gods. Still a beautiful place!

Fantastic shots!! I've been meaning to put up something to tow behind the foz in the snow. Was thinking of some sort of tube so it floats better. I love GoG with snow... Beautiful.

A tube would be awesome. Ihave only used sleds and hoods... and a shovel.. HAHAHA!! :lol:

Haha, it's been a while since I used a real sled, but shovels work great!!

We used to drag an old climbing rope out and hook it to the back of whatever car we had, stick on our x country skies and get towed into the area we were going to ski in. Really fun. We have also done that around town at night after a big snow storm...

So Aaron...did China Wall get totally plowed/leveled out? At least what you saw of it? Would it still be a fun place for the anniversary run?

So Aaron...did China Wall get totally plowed/leveled out? At least what you saw of it? Would it still be a fun place for the anniversary run?

I will have to go back out there and look someother time. We didn't even make the first hill. With no chains, winch etc we didn't take the chance of getting stuck. From what others told me that have been there recently is that 204 is completely plowed and 212 is plowed up to the rock garden and left alone after that. Which means all of the obstacles are still there on the main route. But i do want to check and make sure!

There are a lot of open areas out there.. I am sure we would be fine.

The Maroon Discovery is my wife's DD and the green RR used to be my parents but is now Jamie's. I do miss the green RR, but it has a great life now.

Looks like you all had loads of fun. Those are some great pictures! Gatemonkey particularly likes the rock slabs dusted with snow.
