I'd love to go, but my ranger is stuck in 2wd unless i take off the electric shift motor and shift it by hand. Would there be anything i could do out there in a 1991 Ranger? its all stock with a 4.0l v6 3.73 with a limited slip in the rear.

your 2wd truck will do fine. Like ive stated, there is something there for everyone. there is stuff i cant even do.

Everyone that hasnt been to CORE go to this thread and read it.

Cool, Just remember all that hasnt gone, just cause it has EXTREME in the name doesnt really mean its all EXTREME. i can take my little car there and have fun.

ANY vehicle you take there will be fine, YOU make the day as hard or easy as you want remember 800 acres of land gives you plenty of stuff to do and difficulty level. 2WD vehicles can go to!

I will be at the Flying J (if not, I'm still sleeping, Smash has my cell # :D). I will be bringing the Baja but it's questionable on how it will run. I've ended up slacking off all week due to the cold and also couldn't get that new tranny swapped (no comment, I don't wanna). So I've leaved the original tranny on and reinstalled the engine (my wife helped, she was surprised how easy it was to put back on). Who needs a reverse anyways  I've just cleaned it out, fixed a few little things and am going hardcore with no windows :thunb: I've started it up but it didn't wanna run too well. I'm hoping it's just the old gas. It's also cold and it doesn't have a choke, will play with it tomorrow. Worst comes to worse, I'll just rally around in the Subie :D I'm not planning to stay too long...

Yeah...the Flying J is just south of I-70 and just west of Airport Blvd. If you're coming from the west on 70, exit Airport heading south, then make your first right. you can't miss it. If you're coming from 225 south, I would probably exit 6th Ave (rather than Colfax, but that's just because I don't like Colfax), make a right on 6th, follow it to Airport (there's a Kicks 66 gas station there), then left on Airport.

Hi guys, Im the guy that will be hosting tomorrow at the park, I should be there a little before 9, but if ya see an old white dodge on the side of
I-70, stop and give me a push:D

Just to answer a couple of the questions I saw in the thread, Yes dogs are welcome, and as long as they are under good voice control, I dont have a problem with them being offleash, However, if you are playing in an area with high traffic, watch em close, I would hate to see anyone lose a dog under a truck.

As for mud, I dont know, Its been a month since I was out there, and as cold as its been everything may be frozen solid, I do know that if it reaches 50 degrees tomorrow like the weather monkeys claim, that the ground will start to thaw on top, and it will get slick in places. Please do not drive onto the ponds, no matter how good the ice looks.

Do bring a tow strap if you have one. I wont be out there in a built rig, and if you get stuck, getting out may be a challenge:D

Thats all I can think of right now. I will check back here afterwhile, before I turn in.

Oh and I can be reached by cell in the morning, at 720-530-7209, and at the park I will be on cb channel 16.

REI mountain 3 tent. Scored it as a present from my entire family (immediate and extended) 2 years ago. It has yet to let me down, but is showing signs of wear. We use it heavily year round because of it's size. My other tent is a VERY used 3 season 2 person REI backpacking tent. Not enough space now that the dogs have decided they like to sleep in the tent with us... Anyways, best 4 season mountain tent out there for your $ IMO.

http://www.rei.com/product/739349

I have that same tent!! I love it! Got it at a garage sale when I was working at an REI. My boss was like, alright every employee can go and take 2 items from the garage sale for $2 each. He just wanted to get rid of the stuff and not have to pack it all away into a storage bin again... even though that was my job not his.. haha still best tent I own!
