Wow. I've only ever shot with bar cues that were crooked as a dog's hind leg.

Not like it with help with your game... I'll stick with a bar cue for that price

It's like saying there's no difference in a cheap driver out of a starter set verses a Taylormade or Callaway driver. I guess to the average once in a blue moon player you won't notice a difference, but to the person who plays regularly and is good, there's a difference and it will improve your game. It all boils down to what you're into, a lot of people make faces when I tell them what I have spent on my rig.

When I was into it, pre-mortgage and bills, I had a Meucci cue, I didn't spend a grand on it though.

I do think he's asking a tad much for it, he can't even tell you which of the AEs it is or the weight and will probably remain in his closet for another 19 years.

Yup.

I have a McDermott myself. I'm not to the level where a $1000 stick will improve my game though.

I am looking at this one though:

That's cool with the Shamrocks on it! :thunb:

Ran across this last night when I saw this thread:

A novelty, but I think it stands to be the most expensive cue made at $150K.

i guesse it makes sense since i used to have a pair of $1500 bull riding chaps and a vest and $400 rope. it gets expensive when u get into a sport or hobby.

HAHAHAA!

"YOU WILL MISS THAT 9-BALL SHOT OR I WILL TAKE OFF YOUR HEAD WITH MY CUE!!!"

I'm hoping I get into the regionals tournament - playing in qualifiers tomorrow.

Why tourney is that? The Joss 9-ball tourney used to come through the Casino I worked for, and we would turn our 5000 seat event center into a big ass Pool Hall. Saw some damn good players at that one, complete with the Black Widow, Johnny Archer, Karen Corr, and this crazy Philipino dude who did the hardest breaks I have ever seen someone do. He would bend his cue up really big, and then release it. Pretty cool. Saw a couple of game wins on the break too, from several people.

It's an APA Qualifier which if I make it through that I get to play in the APA Regional Singles Tournament. Eventually you can make it to the APA Nationals in Vegas.

LOL, that's how I started playing pool to begin with, going to the bars afterwords. I rode for 10 years, mostly local stuff when I lived in El Paso, Texas. I know what you mean with that stuff, spent $375 on my rope which was made by Raymond Branch (http://www.mypqb.com/PQB/index.html) a double block, a baby 5 in the handle and 7 in the tail, would go through about 3 Tiffany (http://www.tiffanyglove.com/rodeogloves.html)gloves a year. I was lucky with the chaps and vest, my dad used to build saddles so I got mine made at the cost of the leather.

It's funny, when I started doing framing at my first construction job, this was before nailers were used, I thought a hammer was a hammer. I went out and bought a Craftsman 20oz framer and swung that around for awhile. I could drive a 16 penny nail in with a tap and one heavy hit with it, but it wore my ass out. One of the guys let me borrow one of his Estwings one day and I tell you there was a huge difference in the two, the balance of the Estwing was so much different and it didn't feel like a mini sledge at the end of the day, I went out that day after work and bought one.
