Does anyone know a good place to get some engine work done? i just need my blocked bored .030 over, and a set of heads rebuilt. Its a Ford 400 V8, And just the typical 2v Heads.

Alright Thanks, I am still waiting on some funds to finish my 460 for the 77, and i just spun a rod bearing, so i am gonna rebuild it, and build it up a little. and then when i finish the 460, i'll just throw this hopped up 400 into the bronco.

Alright man that sounds cool. Thanks. I have a 460 long block in the garage, but it needs to be gone through, and still haven't decided what path to go with it. Any thoughts?

I would suggest Gunn Automotive on South Federal in Denver. They do some of the best machine work in town and their prices are really fair.

My dad has been using these guys for nearly 30 years:
G & S Auto Parts & Machine Shp
5756 S Lowell Blvd, Littleton, CO
(303) 795-1412‎

I also know many of the hot rodders use them. Good guys. Almost all their biz is machine work.

Plus, there is a donut shop right next door. ;)

Not sure how their prices compare, but they always have done good work for me. I think cleaning a head in the tank was $15. I had a head pressure checked before. $50 if I remember right. Sounded reasonable.

Doesn't sound to bad, as long as they do good quality work, paying a little extra isn't to big of a deal.

That is what I thought. They haven't done anyone wrong that I know. When talking to car guys in my area, they always say "go to G&S".
