You'll have a 31 spline in that F150. If you really want a locker, I suggest you stick with a locker because a limited slip will still let one wheel spin if it is in the air. Basically, a limited slip is tight open diff. The one I have has 120+k miles so it wouldn't be as tight as a new one & the new clutch kits are around $120.00. You'd have to have the gears set up with either this limited slip or a carrier (case) type locker so why do that twice if you go to a locker later?
You might have a limited slip in your truck, the clutches may be so worn that it doesn't limit slip anymore.
Look at the tag on your diff cover bolt. It should have numbers similar to this
3 55 or 3 L 55 The "L" indicates limited slip. Your numbers may be different, I used a 3.55:1 gear ratio.
I don't want to sell ya something you might already have & if you really want a locker, a limited slip just won't do :D

I don't have one yet either. I just have the 8.8 4:10 LS in the ranger and it is not working too good lately. Need to get some warmer weather to be out in the garage to get back on the 9".
