Hi all,

Just a quick note to introduce myself.

I'm Spudco and I'm back into 'wheelin' after a break of a few years.

I'm eager to try out my new (to me) machine, a 01 4Runner with a mild lift and all kinds of geewhiz computer controlled ^%#%^# running the 4 wheels. I'm an old school steel 'wheeler from way back, mainly old Ford trucks.

I look forward to seeing you on the trails.

I'm in SE Denver.

Spudco

Welcome to the forum!

You'll like the 4Runner, but will miss the straight axle! Had a bunch of old Ford trucks, too...a 77, a 69 Bronco and a 63...all 4x4s. Now I have the black 94 crawler Toyota.
Don't worry too much about all the computer controlled stuff. You'll have to learn a little about using MAF cleaner and keeping the O2 sensors cleaned, but other than that, don't expect too many problems. You might also consider grabbing an extra 80 amp main fuse(EFI fuse) to throw in with your trail gear. It is about the only one that will shut down your rig on the trail out of all the fuses/relays you have. This is the one that you have to take the main under hood fuse box out to change.
