From Haku. Moved from 'Planned Trail Runs':

We got a ways, but not particularly far. If you have been up there, we only got a couple hundred yards past the wide open spot that sometimes has a big puddle and has the poser rock on it. Above there it gets deeper and steeper. I'll have some pics and a report up in a little while (probably tomorrow).

Ok sounds good. I believe I know the open area you speak of. Thanks for posting! (And for moving it Brody so I could find it fast)

I was running errands until fairly late last night or I would have already been on this. I'll get pics up soon.

Thanks for the pictures! Don't you guys think that you could've been a little easier on the one and only rock you found on the trail?

Hahaa......I think that rock gets a lot of attention, so it was probably missing it with all that snow. Its become buddies with my truck, since they always get together. Here are a few more pics from me....

We only got a bit above where most of the pics were taken. Its where it starts going up hill for a ways, and the snow got deeper. Thought about airing down some, and it would be have been easier with chains probably. In the end, we decided to just call it a day though. Kyle daughter was feeling icky, so he probably wanted to get home, and had we stayed another hour or two, we would have gotten caught up in Ski traffic, so its probably for the better. Was nice to get out though. I'm very close to quit wheeling for a while, and do all the projects I've been wanting to do to my rig that will take it out of commission. I do want it ready to go for the Anniversary trip, but thats a ways away.

Nice pics. Definitely more snow there now than a few weeks ago.

There definitely is, but not as much as I thought there would be after that storm just kinda sat up there and dumped last week. Its weird too, because down at the Cemetery where everyone meets, it doesn't look like its that bad since there isn't much snow there. Get up a couple hundred feet and into the trees and its a completely different story. I'd say if we don't get snow for a while, some of the more open hills will be snow free, but in the trees, its pretty much gonna be there all winter.

We saw that Bronco and a 4runner built similar to my truck (but prettier) go up just as we were heading down. Not sure how much further they made it, but I can't imagine it was that far. He did have a big ole V8 and 40 inch IROK tires, so that probably helped.

Nice shots! We didn't go far up past that rock either, just up the hill to where it turns left and gets deeper. At that point we opted to turn around since we were alone with a winch or chains. I'll throw up photos tomorrow!

It was quite an enjoyable day. I've been meaning to get on here an post up some stuff. I have a video of Josh and I plowing through some snow on the way back out. I'll get it up soon (probably tomorrow). Zak had to turn back before we got to the area with the rock. No worries though. I think he had a good time. Hannah is feeling quite a bit better today. I wish she and Ashley could've gone. They would have had a great time. Thanks for a great day guys! Can't wait to do it again.

Here are a few photos I took, it was a fun day all in all. Did some exploring before Rubi and Haku got there and I took off about 1. I made it to the tank trap, but thats where I turned around. Snow wasn't too bad, maybe 1 1/2 feet in certain spots, it was icy everywhere though.

As soon as YouTube lets me do an audioswap, I'll have it up. Evidently, Blue Oyster Cult playing in the background is a no-no.

That's just wrong. I could get behind some BOC for wheelin' background music. Takes me back to high school, when metal was young (and I could still listen to it full bore).

Nice vid anyway.

Nice vid! Yep, the tighter sections with deeper snow on the sides had my *** end all over the place! That was a new experience coming from the Subaru!

Got it. Sounds like someone needs a "more cowbell" T-shirt from one of those catalogs you get too many of during the holidays.

I remember seeing BOC in Louisville, Ky way back when. The band that fronted BOC was just some local dudes. They flat shut down BOC which was pretty funny. BOC came out all badass in leather and shades with this expensive equipment, and the local dudes had plaid shirts, ripped jeans, and poor boy equipment and tore BOC up. It was pretty funny. Oh well, BOC was kind of like REO ... more or less one hit wonders. I had free tickets or else I never would have gone to see BOC. Certainly not paid for it, anyway..
