So about a week and a half ago Jessicas Discovery had a big problem. The water pump that was just put in (the old one was weeping from the weep hole some) blew up, literally. The impellar shaft pulled right out of the front of the pump in less then 3 weeks of being installed. Serious bummer, the whole reason I had PPR put the new one in was because I did not want Jessica on the side of the road. backfire.

So I had the Disco towed down to the Springs to PPR where the pump was under a warrenty so I and they thought. They went about tring to get the company that built this pump to pay for damages (Water pump, upper radiator hose, fan shroud, belt, fluids and labor) the company basically said too bad tell the customer to suck it up!!!!

Well PPR didn't think it was fair for us to pay since we had just had them do the job and since they are honest, great, real people themselves. They ended up repairing all damages and doing the work for no cost to us!! Not only that but they had it done fast. I just wanted to let others know how great of a shop they are and that they stand behind the work they do.

I have many stories of where they have done right, I just wanted to share this one has Jessica is now safely with her family in Wyoming with her Rover!

Another Great company is Active Transmission and Gear. I took my truck in to have my front differential fixed, as another shop had cross threaded and ruined a hole and it leaked and filled with water. Sadly the first shop was back in CA so I couldn't take it back to them. Active quoted me for one helicoil and an oil change. They ended up having to pull the entire differential out, go buy a helicoil kit for my truck, and redo all the bolts. They charged me the original quote, despite an extra several hours. The owner is nice, and I haven't had a single problem with their work. They're located in Broomfield.
