Technically, I suppose that this should be under the Anniversary Run trail planning thread, but I didn't want to clutter that up any more than it has been. Great...so I now clutter this thread up...

Anyway, without getting into where this should or shouldn't go, we need to start finding out what people are intending to bring for food: supplies, grills, etc. and getting some feedback from people who are attending.

Last year was pretty well organized with quite a few tables and chairs being brought, as well as grills, cups, plates, hot dogs, etc, etc. It took some serious work. I do not want to have to babysit this particular thread, so I'll be happy to let whomever wants to step up take it over.

Keep in mind that this year we are going to have almost double the amount of people that we did last year ( not counting kids) if the 38 people so far who have voted all manage to show up.

Well I guess that my history with the food and bev-restaurant industry could help with this. I would actually like to figuring I'm already going to be bringing mass amounts of food and a grill when ever I'm camping or up in the mountains. If I could get a somewhat accurate count in attendees, guests, etc. It wouldn't be hard to keep everyone full on some good eats, for any trip. FYI, I will be bringing ribs, stuffed and reg. burgers, buns, condiments, paper towels, Weber mini, the usual. Plenty enough for 5-10 others, well those that bring stuff too. :D

If it won't step on any toes, Hugh and I would like to be in charge of the hot dogs and grills he and I can cook them on. We found it easier last year to take care of that and solicit other things from other people like buns, condiments, drinks, etc. We will do the dogs. Anyone else is free to bring their own grill and stuff to put on it. Like Rob87 said in the thread above, we will need an accurate count of participants: drivers and family.

I think it is a bit early for this thread because people drop in and out of runs when it is six weeks away. How about people start thinking of what they want to do? I like putting up a thread closer to the run, say a few weeks ahead where people COMMIT to bringing what is needed and what they want to supply.

We will need paper plates, napkins, condiments, sides, chips, maybe drinks unless everyone wants to BYOB, plastic utensils, buns. Once there is a better count, it can be posted up for how many people these items are needed, and participants can have a more informed idea of what they might like to supply.

You and Hugh did a great job running the grills last year :jiggy: so I'll leave that to you since you offered. I would suggest you decide what you want to have brought from other members and we sign up to provide those.

I would think we need a head count to ensure there is enough of everything for all involved.

Start a post with "What I will bring" and let us sign up.:fing::fing:

You are reading my mind.

I will put up that post, but not right now. Until then, we can wait until the trail is decided, then people can figure out if they are going. I don't think there is any point in starting a thread this early that will get cluttered BEFORE it is decided where we are going.
