MC Recycling is the worst scraping outfit i have ever seen. They call a 6x8 Wood box trailer, a flatbed, they don't come prepared to haul away or do any lifting or any work at all to collect your scrap.Hell they only brought 2 ratchet straps to tie a load down. I told them over the phone that i had a 1993 ford explorer body and frame only, they said they could handle it. The trailer they brought was junk and didn't even have good tires. Later last night i found out from my friend that they actually lost there trailer somewhere around 88th and lowell after hauling it all off. I highly suggest you don't want to use them unless you want to deal with things like this:

:lmao: And maybe jump up and down on it a few times.

Say, I didn't see Ellie May or Jethro in any of the photos. Didn't I see "Clampett Family Scrappers" on the side of the trailer?

I drove past that yesterday and was wondering what the hell? It was sitting around 88th and Lowell on the street facing the wrong way at a house across the street from the bar with a flat tire, hmmm wondering there is a connection (wrong way parking , flat tire and bar).

It used to be the normal routine in the foothills when people were looking to hire contractors. You would tell people to drive past the bars midday and see who was parked outside. These were the people whom you did not want working on your house. I have walked off of jobs in the mountains where subs came back from lunch jacked up. It is too easy to cut important stuff off or stay on a roof without being jacked, much less jacked up. And, pardon me, but f**k 'em if they want to work with power tools messed up. I sure ain't going to patch 'em up so they can do it again...let 'em bleed out. The world is too full of stupid people to begin with...

Guys probably ran out of their thermos of vodka while they were loading your metal up and had to stop because they couldn't make the drive back to their house without a couple of shooters...

Can you report them? Individuals shouldn't be getting away with crap like this, let alone a business! I hate people that don't care how their actions might impact others (ie unsafe trailer). Idiots!

Those guys make Sanford and Son look like a class act! The theme song for Sanford and Son immediately popped in my head upon viewing those pictures..LOL

Oh I got it now. Maybe they picked up the trailer from someone else to scrap and thought they could kill two birds in one stone. Then just ditch it all and not have to pay any disposal fees. Losers.

Better Business Bureau?

Well hmmm i am not sure i can report them. I tried looking them up in the phone book and they don't exist there. Also they contacted me over craigslist, so the odds of them actually having a business license don't seem to good with the way there operation is run.

Mafia sanctioned? maybe they needed scrap cars to "stage" accidents for insurance fraud.

On a brighter note, when one of the RMFTC guys did his part-out, he called Pull-N-Save to come get the carcass. With only a bill of sale, they took the remains and gave him some cash to boot.

I called them, they said they didn't want it because i already sold all the stuff worth money on it.Haha looks pretty sweet. Hell if they'd of thrown some movers dolly's under there, and had a come along or winch on the trailer they could of made things a lot easier. Then again i move some crazy heavy stuff at work, so my i have some pretty weird concepts on how to move things. It makes me kinda sad seeing that 2dr exploder getting hailed away, i really like them over the 4 doors. Just can't seem to find them anymore.

The rollback was dragging the carcass well enough. They lifted the front to get it lined up with the bed.

I'm kind of surprised P-N-S said F-U, and kinda not surprised.

I guess it's time to use your mad weldin' skillzzz and build a trailer. After all, you do have a truck or two that can pull one. :)

Funny that you mention that. I have been looking at trailer prints online lately and just decided to order some.

Holy revived threads Batman!!!!

I responded to a CL ad that pictured a green Ranger bed with that stupid purple pin-stripe. I call the phone number and get "C&M Towing," "Charley (?) and Michelle" she says. Instantly I think of this thread, but $75 is a good price if I like how it looks.

Tonight I see the Ranger bed, it's not green, no stupid purple pin-stripe. I tell the young fella "the ad had a green bed with that stuipid purple pin-stripe." He shrugged and indicated that this was the bed for sale. I thanked him for his time and left.

I get home and pull up the link to the CL ad: Green Ranger bed with that stupid purple pin-stripe for $75. I refreshed the ad and it was flagged! I coulda guessed, shoulda known... :)

My in-laws have a place in Winter Haven, Fl. that they snow-bird in. It's a manufactured house, but it had a nice big patio with a metal roof. (A hurricane took it off for them). There was a local scrap guy that came and took the whole mess for FREE!. He sold it for scrap and made... whatever... and my in-laws paid nothing!
