Actually, mine's from Avenue Q. I don't think Sesame Street ever had a character named Lucy the Slut. ;)

I haven't watched for a long time, thought maybe things had changed in the neighborhood.

:lmao: I haven't either, but I doubt things have changed that much.
Today's show is brought to you by the letter B and the number 69!

Yeah..... thats what you get when Elmo is the main character on the show. No cookies for friggin Cookie Monster. Next they are gonna send Bert and Ernie to Reparative Therapy, and taking away Oscars garbage can. They also have a character to identify with every race now (one of the good things, not that Sesame Street was ever really that racially exlusionary). I decided to be cool and join the trend, with what I believe to be the coolest Sesame Street character.

Nice....I logged on and ...Where's Elmo?
Never watched the show, just know who some of the characters are...My best alarm clock ever had the guy in the garbage can and a neat little street scene. The clock face was on the side of the garbage can. When the alarm went off, the guy would pop out of the can going"Get Up! Get Up!" . To shut him up and for snooze, you slammed him back down into the can..Oscar the Grouch, maybe?
Elmo happens to be one of our children. He appears in various places around the house (freezer, bathrobe pockets, dryer, microwave) at random times. We never see him or any of the other odd collection of children actually move, but the they do get around...We have almost the whole crew of Winnie the Pooh characters, Shrek, all sorts of stuff that has turned up in garages, streets, constructions sites, etc. Some people take in stray cats and dogs, we take in stray toys...

Oscar the Grouch (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Oscar_the_Grouch) peeks from his trash can (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Oscar%27s_trash_can); the lid can be opened and closed. A second trashcan on its side has a blue clock face on one end. Both are mounted on a red base. The clock measures 9" long by 5" wide by 8" high. Oscar's phrases include reminders about winding the clock and exhortations to get up for another grouchy day. (1977)

Well, I think they stopped production in 1977 or earlier. The cheapest one I found was on E Bay and it auctioned off for $41. There were others on there that went for as high as $180....These probably cost all of $10 or so when they came out. I have no idea where mine came from or even remember when I had it, only that I had one at some point...

When Elmo appeared as your avatar I received a few PM's. :lmao:
Elmo's cute and cuddly - the consensus was Oscar was more fitting for you so I took the liberty. Just messing Pete. ;)

You are lucky Rob that Chris felt that he didn't know you well enough to change your avatar to some vapid Sesame Street figure....

As you can see from my current avatar, I am having a mild discussion with Elmo and all of his buddies. I seem to have gotten his attention, which is always the first step in communication....

That was nice! This is probably what happened to toys I got when I was a kid. I vaguely remember being told I would absolutely not be getting any more plastic soldiers after I discovered napalm....Probably a good thing, too as biological weapons were only a few steps away and they would have damaged the operator more than the plastic soldiers....

Wow, that was fun wasn't it?
Not that I can tell anyone what to use as an avatar but it sure was nice when folks had pics of their trucks so we could connect a name, username & truck!

I thought that's what the Garage is for, considering a number of members have multiple rigs. :)
