Is it doable? Fun? Or just completely insane....

China Wall was awesome, but way too far to do very often for me.

Looking for something closer by...

Not sure. I think it's low enough to be doable for most of it. Is it open though?

Trail damage doesn't say anything about it closing, but there is a gate you have to go through.

Do I call the Boulder Ranger District to find out?

Yeah I think it would be Boulder but I'm not sure. I would definitely call before going out there.

And TrailDamage pages aren't exactly updated often.

Cool, I'll give a ring. I'm pretty hesitant to go out anywhere sans winch, so I might get a hold of some folks or post up a group run! Thanks for your help Andrew.

The Boulder district listed it closed last year til like July or so, and it is listed as closed again this year: http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/arnf/conditions/forest-roads/brd/index.shtml

Ooo thanks Kubo!!

Not what I wanted to hear, but saved me a phone call. I guess we'll stick with Yankee Hill and that area.

Well if you want to run somewhere let me know.

I don't have my winch on yet, but I have a shovel. And I have a pretty long kinetic yanker I can bring too.

Looks like I'll be out of town next weekend, or I would've made a run for sure. I'm thinking maybe the 21st.... I'll talk to Karla tonight. If she's down I'll get a trail run planning thread going.
