Grill Change

I am thinking of doing this swap. I havent seen it to widely done, and i have to say i believe it looks pretty good. What it is is an Early Bronco Grill, thrown on a Bronco II. Seeing as how i have the whole grill assembly off of a 72 sitting in the garage collecting dust, i am giving it some more thought.I was just curious as to what your guys thoughts are.
So what i have now looks like this

hmmm thats kind of a cool thought, then it could be really unique. Just might have to look into that

As well as doing the grill change i am going to be sporting some new fenders front and rear. I really dont like how the gas cap sets in them, but they are the only place i can find that sells rears for the BII's. They use normal ford body lines, with a 3 inch natural flare in them.

Yeah, but i am not to worried about it. I have the entire assembly at home. I started a frame of resto-off road project on a 1972 bronco about 10 years ago. Its been sitting ever since we got the body separated from the frame. I have all the pieces still, just never got around to putting it back together.

Do it. I really like the look of it. Usually it looks out of place to me, but that one looks great!

Well the frame is inside our garage leaning up against one wall, the motor is over on a stand in the corner, the body is sitting on saw horses chilling on the driveway. The axles are in the back of the 77 on the drive way. The grill is in the garage somewhere in the rafters. I am using one of the bucket seats out of it as a computer chair in my room, as well as the back seat as mini couch type thing. So its still around, all the parts are here and there, mostly in the crawl space now. For some reason i just never got around to putting it back together, its on my to-do list, but its in line. Still have the B2 in front of it, then the 77 150, 79 bronco, my 70 f100, then i'll get back to it i hope.

Back in the early to mid 80s, I endo'd an F150 I had done everything except put a custom aluminum dash into. I had an overbored 351 in it, a tricked out C4, lockers F/R, trick suspension, 38s, etc, etc, etc. I bought the truck back from the insurance company on a salvage title, bought a 69 Bronco and did a frame off resto on it, putting everything that was good from the F150 into the Bronco, fabbing new motor, tranny and T case mounts, doing fiberglass half doors, molded in custom one piece tilt hood, a full roll cage, new wiring harness, custom soft top, etc. It took me just about all of my free time for almost an entire summer. It was a huge amount of work. I am not sure that I would ever do it again.

The F150 was the last 4x4 that I ever owned that I haven't had a full cage in, BTW, as I was extremely lucky to walk away from that accident. If I wasn't a skinny dude, I doubt that I would have been able to get out of the crushed cab, especially since I was upside down at the time time.

That's what I did to my truck. Swapping in the whole assembly makes a much cleaner job. I swapped everything from an FJ60 to replace my FJ62 front.
