I saw this concept on extreme 4x4 the other day. Pretty Interesting. You get sliders without losing any ground clearance. It means some cutting to the rocker panels though. Anyone have any thoughts on this setup. Any idea how much it would cost to have someone smarter than me do this to my Jeep (Brody)?

I've seen that done on some cruisers, especially logical when the rockers have rusted away and every inch of additional clearance is a good thing.

It's something I really want to do someday on the 'burb to keep as much ground clearance as I can with the long wheelbase.

Pretty standard concept that has been around a long time. It is on the board for my heap, actually, but is going to require shaving 5" off my door bottoms and re welding them up. Not to mention all the other work involved with adjusting the cage and rails.

My rig does not hit very often since I boat-sided it, much better clearance, but then I have cut my rig down to size from a full size bronc. I have gone for function over form, F'Ugly Carcass!

I bet someone has a kit for a Jeep but it would require cutting and welding of course!

There's a bronco under that?

My brother boatsided his YJ years ago after damaging his rockers by running Boulder Carnage upper waterfall with no sliders
