I'm not the life of the party here.
Am i?

Hmmh.
Well then.
Random thoughts.

When It snows, do the married guys, like steve,(hes the first one to come to mind) use that as an excuse, no matter how little it snows, to take out your trail rigs?

I would.

Well its hard to teach a kid who is on FR4x4 all day!!

Chris, I think you need to block Zach's access during school hours :D :D

Geez, I'll actually second this. The lad has to learn something and what he may learn on Front Range (being on it 24/7 like he is), may not necessarily be beneficial in later life...or direct him in a positive fashion (no offense, everyone...).

And remember that he isn't a 'kid' anymore, please! He is now a 'young adult'...I can see him smiling at that one....

Chris
April 28th, 2010, 08:23 PM
Should we throw in a math/english/geography lesson and make him pass before posting?

Unless he becomes a mechanic.....and fixes all our rigs :D

Brody
April 28th, 2010, 08:29 PM
Naw...he is a bright lad. He English is really good, so I am assuming that all the other skills are up to par, too.

BUT...he is 'only a lad' as in the Oingo Boingo song:

But Johnny didn't care
He was an outlaw by the time that he was
Ten years old
He didn't wanna do what he was told
Just a prankster, juvenile gangster

His teachers didn't understand
They kicked him out of school
At a tender early age
Just because he didn't want to learn things
(Had other interests)
He liked to burn things

I'll pass it.
I'm smarter than you might think. ;)

Yeah? How about yours Pete?

Zatticus

ROFLMAO.

I was kinda thinking the same thing.
I'm just going to go with a typo error on that one.

Yeah, I frequently hit the "e" key instead of the "i" and "s" myself. :lmao:

What's your GPA young man? Be honest about it. As an example of this honesty I'll tell you I graduated on the bottom of my HS class since I was a lousy student. I was an excellent student in college though.

Mporter
April 28th, 2010, 08:38 PM
Yeah? How about yours Pete?

Doesn't he have like 2 BA's in English too?

Zatticus
April 28th, 2010, 08:39 PM
I honestly don't know what my GPA is,
I haven't looked at my grades once this entire year.

I know I'm passing all of my classes with atleast C's though.

Don't know what the GPA would be minimum of for that.
:lmao:

Chris
April 28th, 2010, 08:43 PM

According to Spokeo.com I have a Masters degree. Does that count?

Zatticus
April 28th, 2010, 08:46 PM
:lmao:

What degree(s) do you have?

Chris
April 28th, 2010, 08:50 PM
I'm not sure, I'm hoping Spokeo posts that so I know. :D

In real life, none. I went the tech route after HS and was licensed as an A&P mechanic. Now called A&E (aircraft and engine)

Also a few credits short of a liberal arts degree.

Barb never went to college but couldn't hire people to work for her unless they had MBA's. :lmao:

Oh, so much going on in this thread!

Why is there no conversation? There is nothing going on! It is the cusp of real (IMO) wheeling season, no one has any money, and it isn't a prime vacation week.

If Zatticus is a young adult, that means my 18 year old is too. I don't want anyone telling him (my son) that. He'll think he is an adult and can go do whatever he wants, since that is what adults do you know. And Zatticus, who says book learning equals smart? I graduated Magna Cum Laude and that means squat now. Common sense means more, as does an ability to educate oneself. GO read something if you aren't learning at school. ;)

SCRubicon: it is a well-known fact that young adult males excel at impulse control. He will be fine with that new card.

Brody's arthritis was acting up so he couldn't type by feel, and his eyesight is going so he couldn't see the keys. Give the man a break.

Stephanie swoops in for an Epic win.

I never said book learning was smart.
"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." - Albert Einstein.

See?
I'm already smart enough. Einstein and Stephanie both said so.
:D

Yes, it is. You'll soon be free of an educational requirement and ready to learn what's important to you instead.

Don't fear it Stephanie, my son moved to Hawaii at 19 which proves he's much smarter than I was at that age. Your son may just prove the same to you.

Zatticus
April 28th, 2010, 09:46 PM

So, I'll get to learn to be a beggar on the side of the road and become an alcoholic if I want?
:D

Awesome.

Zatticus

Figures.
All the awesome sounding jobs are probably really lame.
Like being a Neurosurgeon.

Nah. That wouldn't be a good job at all.

Ahah.

I wanna get my degree in,
Something that I won't change my mind in ever 3 days.
And a minor in buisness. Or german.

Yes, you did tell me about how well your son has done, and yes, my boy will do well. And, I know you know it is sometimes pretty frustrating and hard to let them make their attempts and mistakes. :)

1) Thank you. I spout off some good sounding stuff every now and then.

2) If you think you are smart enough, there is more stuff to learn.

3) I have to disagree with the really, really smart man A.E. I didn't know squat at 18...so many more prejudices to acquire! :D

Brody's arthritis was acting up so he couldn't type by feel, and his eyesight is going so he couldn't see the keys. Give the man a break.

Not to mention that the accumulated head injuries act up every now and then and cause a sputter and pop across the synapses rather than the accustomed heady hum I am used to....

And you forgot my hearing...WHAT?! I SAID THAT YOU FORGOT MY HEARING! IT IS GOING, TOO! Just had another hearing test the other day. Result: your hearing sucks, Pete. You need hearing aids, Pete. There are certain words that you can't even hear anymore, Pete...Oh and stop reading my lips, Pete. That isn't how you take a hearing test...

Betcha like dancing on the backs of the bruised, too, Stephanie. I have feelings, too, you know, even though LaDawn starts cracking up whenever I say I want to talk about them....

how the hell did you get a gpa of 8? Damn magician

3.7 or 3.8, smartass...Somebody should pop you upside the head...

Going to fab some hearing aids Pete? Maybe build into some headgear to prevent any additional head injuries. ;)
