Apparently it can when you add heat and argon.

Thanks for the repost of this. It is actually all over the internet and has been for quite awhile . It has also been posted on this forum a couple of times, too.
One of those things that can't really be posted too much either, as the lack of knowledge of phosgene gas , what produces it, and what it does, can kill you....

Nothing wrong with that and there are certainly enough of us 'self taught' welders on this forum and others that reading this may save a life.
If you google "phosgene gas' or 'phosgene gas and welding' there are an incredible number of hits. This is actually a post that, if it gets posted 10 times during the year under various headings and saves one person's life, I won't be grumpy about...

Nice article. However, it doesn't require Argon. Argon is inert. Hopefully this (the brake cleaner issue) is common knowledge. Always good to post, though.
