A family staying at a Sugar Land motel got something unexpected at check in; grandma found a gun under a pillow...

Maybe Drury Inn should change the sheets. :erm:

I work at Hotel Furniture Outlet on 104th and Washington...and let me tell you...after working there I'm going to try my hardest to avoid hotels. You wouldn't believe some of the nasty sh!t we get from different hotels. Sometimes the contract the owner signs when we liquidate a hotel requires that we liquidate EVERYTHING...down to the sheets, pillows, and carpet. And can you believe people actually buy used hotel sheets and pillows? Its insane.

Hell, we even had some 15 year old Motel 6 mattresses that were too nasty to sell retail...so we sold them for 10 bucks a piece to some hotel owners on Colfax.

I've just gagged and threw up in my mouth a little. That's nasty!

And as for the story? Yeah, it's bad that housekeeping didn't catch it, but then again... It's in TEXAS!! :p

Musta been a good ol' Texas girl that made the bed. Instead of leaving a mint on the pillow, she left what she would prefer for a good night's rest. :D

Well, I can see how the gun under the pillow can get left. I am one of those paranoid people people who, when they stay in a hotel/motel, use a chair of door wedge to keep the door closed and put a gun under the pillow or somewhere close by. If it is in a foreign country, then there is another form of weapon close by.

Paranoid? Maybe....but all the same, too much stuff happens at motels/hotels. I simply do not have a very good "victim" mentality and would rather be prepared for the worst rather than assuming that all of my fellow travelers are full of peace and love for mankind...

96blkbeauty, I think you pulled my yj out from behind your store with your ranger once. It was red and I was stuck on that little cement ditch in the middle of the field.

Haha, I just noticed your avitar is from behind the store.

I've pulled some people out back there with my Bronco, but never my Ranger. Might have been my buddy Jake, who works there too. He drives a lifted blue 02 Ranger. Mine is an 05, silver, still stock height.
